To the untrained eye, the felt of a Unibet Craps table can look like a collection of Egyptian hieroglyphics. There are so many bets that it can send you spinning into confusion. But relax. With a little bit of education and experience you gain more confidence, and pretty soon you won’t have to wear those Craps goggles, because the hieroglyphics will make perfect sense. Here is an example of how easy these bets are.
The Field Bet
There is a bet in Craps more commonly known as betting the field. The area for this type of bet is a rectangular shape squeezed in between the COME and Don’t Pass Bar betting spaces. It contains the word FIELD with the numbers 3, 4, 9, 10 & 11 arcing over the top, a circle on the left-hand side of play saying PAYS 2 DOUBLES and the same on the right-hand side saying PAYS 12 DOUBLES.
To make the bet, either place your chips in the described rectangular space, or put your chips onto the table and ask the dealer to make the bet for you. When the Shooter rolls a 2, 3, 4, 9, 10, 11 or 12 you win. You lose the bet if any other number is rolled. The house will return even money on the numbers 3, 4, 9, 10 and 11 and 2 to 1 for a 2 or 12. Some casinos like to pay 3 to 1 for a 12 so always ask the dealer if you are unsure.
Playing the field is a long-term losing bet for the player, but over the short-term luck is the king of the Craps table.
